Past Travels: Taproot Farm

Almost heaven, West Virginia
Blue Ridge Mountains, Shenandoah River
Life is old there, older than the trees
Younger than the mountains, blowing like a breeze

Taproot Farm, located in West Virginia, belongs to family of mine and is the most beautiful place I have ever been. I spent a weekend here in May of 2012, after a long, draining semester. The time I spent here calmed my nerves, soothed my body, and brought a fresh outlook to life.

Expect to see another post about this farm in the following month ;)

I Went Here: Family, Sunset, Ice Cream

After a tasty dinner the last day of our trip, my family and I wandered along the length of Lake Seneca. We had to cross train tracks and a five-lane road to get there, but once we did it was all sunshine and ice cream.

Dream-Cation: Ansel Adams in Yosemite

Dream-cation (n.) A vacation that, for the moment, only exists in my dreams.

*Black and white photography by the amazing Ansel Adams, who has always been an inspiration of mine in both travel and photography. Vintage postcards found through Google image searches.
